All Officers and Board Members' duty terms run for a period of two years. For the election of January 2009, all positions except President are open because all other members have served in their positions for two years or more. Normally the V.P. moves up to President at the end of the President's term, leaving the 1^stV.P. seat open for election. However, if any member wants to run for President (or any position other than Sec/Treas) (s)he must advise the Board at a regular meeting so the name can be put on the ballot for the January meeting vote. The Secretary/Treasurer is chosen by the President at the beginning of each year. If you want to run for any Board Position (except Sec/Treas) at the January 2009 elections, let Mike Foster 730-3187 know by December 13, 2008 so your name can be on the January ballot for that position. Elected Board Members and Officers may have only three unexcused absenses from monthly meetings in any calendar year. The Officers and Voting Board Members, by a majority vote, may replace any elected member who has more than three unexcused absenses.
